After 2 weeks, the orientation for M208 is over.
Words/phrases to describe the orientation: tiring, lack of sleep, lost my voice, dinner at around 10pm for most days, reach home at midnight, mean macha group, learn new stuff, new experience, made new friends, saw various type of people and learn to work with them, enjoying, fun and a wise program to blend everybody together, regardless of seniority and different backgrounds.
Through this orientation, I got to know quite a number of great OOs (Orientation Officer). They accompanied and are always there for us.
Yuen Liang, Khee Lung and a few others skipped quite a number of lectures;
Li Yen, Sook Yeen, Michelle got a 10 pages long sms lecture for skipping cheer leading practice;
Tien Meng drove us for supper;
Hung Yew went for Signature Hunt with us;
Kian Jeen took the role of Monash man;
Siew Kim helped out in making costumes and Variety Night;
Ben and Jian Min accompanied us for treasure Hunt;
and other OOs like CT and Chui Munn always appear to give ideas.
besides that, there are also few seniors who helped us quite a lot:
Agnes gaves us cardboards and made our Variety Night costume till 2-3 am;
Dave taught Lawrence how to belly dance.
"We are one big family," Sook Yeen said during the first day. And yea, we are. We went for supper together, we went through the whole orientation together, we got our face painted together, eggs, flour on the head together, shopping together, dance together, cheer together.
We got 1st for the Variety Night!!
We got 1st for the performance in Variety Night even though we are not the 1st for overall. Till the end, like what Woei Jiun said his past president said, "people will forget who got 1st in orientation in a few months time, what they will remember is the friends they made during the orientation."
Till then, bye.
